DESCRIPTION

This 600-tonne Jack-Up Barge has undergone major refurbishment with a new superstructure, which includes new accommodation for 6 personnel, new mess and galley, new toilet and shower for both male and female as well as two new offices. It also comes with a Heli Deck and Pile Grippers for piling work. The Cruciform has also been built into a hull which has freed up deck space. Two new 100 KVA’s have been installed for the extra power required by the new facilities and a full inspection and test of the two 400 KVA’s for jacking legs was performed.

During the last class survey dry-docking all hydraulic rams and pumps were removed and sent out to contractor to strip and rebuilt. Hull was blasted and thickness tested and then painted. A number of other works were carried out such as re-design of firefighting system, new internal flooring mesh (inside of hull) was installed, a new exhaust extraction system for generators plus all other areas required by BV for survey. The barge is currently sitting on land and will be placed in the water once it is either sold or employed. Stability tests to complete 5 year Special Survey will be completed at that time.
