The vehicle decks were strengthened to enable carrying the 10 x 13 meter trucks. If the extra strengthening was reduced to original specs the speed would increase by about 4.0 or more knots. The ship is fully operational and the engines were rebuilt recently leaving about 15,000 hours until next rebuild. The ferry is due for a dry docking.
